How It All Began
That Darn Pineapple started with… well, a pineapple—and a twist of fate.
In late 2019, I tore my ACL and found myself stuck at home recovering. To keep me busy, my husband cut out a wooden pineapple for me to paint. I shared it on social media just for fun—and to my surprise, people loved it! Orders quickly followed, and before long, I was creating more pieces for others.
Then in May 2020, I was laid off from my job during the pandemic. Suddenly, I faced a crossroads—and with a little courage (and a whole lot of faith), I took a leap and made this business my full-time job.
That’s why it’s called That Darn Pineapple—because everything truly started with that one pineapple! My journey has taught me that creativity often comes from unexpected places, and I firmly believe that God placed me on this path for a reason.
